2 More days! Random Post.

In 2 more days I will be 21!! 

Funny thing is, i'm not crazy excited like most people are.

I'm not a big drinker, all I want to do is go to Red lobster! 

haha Don't get me wrong I will have a drink, but nothing crazy! 

We got a new dog! His Name is Gunner, he is an Australian Shephard Mix 

We got him a month ago from some crack head! haha 

We paid $10 for him. He is a pretty good dog though! 

and Him and Lilly actually get along pretty well! 

Here Is our New addition Gunner, and Lilly laying with him.

They both like to Cuddle.

He has already grown a lot! 

I took the dogs to the vet the other day. Gunner has been sick, 

and Lilly has worms. 

Lilly has whip worm so we are treating them both 

for it to be safe. 

We are also treating them for Parvo to be safe as well.

Let me just say the vet can be so Expensive!! 

We got $115 off our bill because we were first time visitors, 

but we still walked out with $160 bill! 

Anyways.. Back to my Birthday! haha Yeah I get very random a lot! 

I'm pretty sure we are going to Palm Springs for Red Lobster.

Then possibly a Movie or something. 

I also used some birthday Money that my family sent me to 

design some shirts through Customizedgirl.com

If you have not been there.. GO!! 

It is an awesome place where you can put your own design on 

lots of different things. 

Shirts, pants, shorts, underwear, bathing suits, beer mugs, pillow cases ect. 

and the prices are very reasonable as well!! 

I will have to take pictures and post them when they come in! 

I made one with the marine globe on the front and then on the back says,

"Marine wife, Our love is Semper Fi"

with our last name on it. 

Another one says on the front 

"Forget prince charming, I have a U.S. Marine" 

and then our last name down the back. 

And then I also HAD to make a Dallas Cowboys  shirt for football season! 

I am so excited!! I am already planning party foods!! haha 

well I think that is enough random rambling for one post!!

Missing Home..

This whole week has kind of stunk... 

The Mr. has been on range all week so he has been going to bed 

super super early and leaving in the middle of the night..

I have tried to go to bed with him, but then i'm waking up in the 

middle of the night with him and sitting around literally all day.. 

My car isn't running so even if I had something to do I would be able to go lol 

The Dessert kind of sucks!... sometimes.. lol 

I'm just ready for this week to pass! 

My birthday is next Saturday.. but I don't think we are going 

to get to do anything... 

My birthday will consist of fixing the car and getting new tires 

for the truck because one blew... Isn't it funny how that 

always works out.. you plan something and put money back 

then something goes wrong and you have to fix it... lol 

Oh well just thankful we have the money.. 

I have been really missing home this week.. probably has a lot with the Mr.

being gone so much.. but I am really missing my family.. 

I am very close to them and its crazy not seeing them. 

I am also really missing the grass! haha I used to love going out at night

barefoot walking in the grass and looking at the stars.. Here its just dirt,

gravel, and stickers.. 

I need to get out of the house!! lol 

This morning I got up at 3am and 

moved everything out of the kitchen and living room, 

and swept and mopped, did dishes, and cleaned the counters 

and table... finally at 5am I laid back down watched a movie 

and fell asleep... then got back up at 8:30 lol 

I just wish there was more to do in this town, and 

more people I knew to do things with... 

I am so excited for this weekend though, to actually spend time 

with the Mr. and Relax! 

Family Day

Here lately I have had a blank on what to blog about. 

The Mr. has gotten to come home early all week too so I have 

partially been gone enjoying my time with him :) 

Today the Mr's Unit had a family day because Deployment is creeping up.. 

This was my first family day to go to so I didn't know quite 

what to expect. 

I got to meet a lot of the guys he works with and a few of the wives. 

Yet again I didn't hold a single conversation with any wives. 

It is partially my fault. I'm just not comfortable with women. 

I always feel like i'm being judged.. especially because I am the 

"new girl" 

I'm sure guys probably judge just as much but they don't make it so obvious.. 

But then again no wives made it a point to try and have a conversation

with me either.. but i'm not a judgmental person.. 

any ways.. Today was still a great day :o) I spent lots of time with the Mr. 

and had some pretty great food. and met awesome people! 

Even though the Mr. may not be deploying.. it did make me nervous.. 

All the talk of the deployment, and the training leading up to it 

,and the stress, and the time spent apart, and the goodbyes 

defiantly scared me a bit... 

I know deployments happen DUHHH!! lol but I'm not quite ready 

for him to leave. I know things can change at any point,

but I am really hoping he stays off of this deployment list. 

Other than that, like I said it was a great day! 

I just kind of wish I could meet some more

This was the happiest day of my life and through all the stress leading up 

it ended up being a beautiful, perfect, fun day!

My experiences and other wives.

I was going to post this a few days ago, but did not have much time. 

So far moving to California really hasn't been all that bad. 

Yes we are in the desert but a plus side is no mosquito's! 

Coming from Oklahoma, that is a big thing!! It is so nice to just go outside

and have a cook out with friends and not get eaten up. 

I also like the fact that here you can just pick a dirt road, drive a ways down it, 

find a side of a mountain, set up a target, and practice shooting! Its actually

pretty nice :) 

We also got to go watch a drive in movie, which was a lot of fun

 and made me feel a little closer to home:) 

I do miss my family and friends, but I also have my husband here and Lilly

and am making new friends. They will never replace the ones I have

but its nice to get to know new people. 

I do also have one of my best friends and her family here so that is nice too!

Now to my experience with meeting some other Marine wives. 

Not going to lie I was pretty nervous. A lot of people kept telling me 

"Oh Marine wives are so judgmental and rude." 

"They are stuck up and wont give you the time of day" 

"Not all of them are B's but most are" 

Yeah that's not a very good reputation and part of me hates that fact 

that now that I am a Marine wife some people will think that of me. 

 Now as far as the judgmental part, the ones I have met, yeah a few are.. 

But they wont judge you to your face..

There is one that is my neighbor and she is really nice and a great person! 

but I also met some that weren't so nice. 

One girl just sat and stared at me and kept giving me some bad looks.

Idk what her deal was.. 

There was like 3 wives and 1 girlfriend there.. and I really didn't have

much of a conversation with the wives. besides my neighbor.  

But I did talk a lot to the girlfriend and her and her Marine did tell 

me I was a lot nicer than the others. I am really glad they thought 

that because I do NOT want to be seen as the "typical wife" 

But honestly, I don't really feel its the whole Marine wife Part of it... 

I think its just women/girls in general. 

seriously you put a bunch of girls together in a close environment

there is bound to be drama. and when you put them all in the 

desert it probably doesn't make it any better.

I did feel bad for the girlfriend though, she was a very nice girl, but as 

soon as her and her marine left all the other girls started talking.

Saying things about how the Marine isn't himself any more 

and they don't like her for that...

Umm Hellooo It is his choice to be different or not so be mad at him..

and seriously if those girls think their husbands act the same around

them as they do their friends and at work they are sadly mistaken.

Well so far this has been my experience with living here and other wives. 

Now those wives were in the 18-20 year old range , so maybe there

is still some growing up to do but i feel once you get married 

you need to pick it up a bit.. you don't only represent yourself any more

you represent your husband and all the other wives out there! 

Settling In

We are officially settled in in California!! Our house is perfect for the two of us,

We are living off base but the price is very reasonable.

The Mr. is officially back at work so my and miss Lilly have been hanging out 

at the house listening to music and cleaning! 

Well Lilly just sleeps all day lol 

We went and got everything done on base that we needed to 

and also got to 

enjoy a drive in movie and cook out with our neighbors. 

They are really nice! 

It is taking some time getting used to the married life and 

being reliant on someone else, but i'm getting there.. lol

I just love the Mr. so much and am so glad to finally see him everyday and 

fall asleep in his arms :o) 

Its Official!!

I am officially the Mrs!!! 

I can't even explain how excited and happy I am! 

The wedding was so perfect!!! 

It was a lot of fun and a great time with friends and family. 

I can't wait to get the CD from the photographer and show pictures :o) 

The MR. and I got a small look of a few and absolutely love them! 

I Love him so much!! He is my world! 

We are leaving EARLY in the morning to head to Texas, 

spend a few days there, then head to California! 

So I will probably be MIA for a bit while I get settled in to the new place!

Last Minute Changes

We are officially down to 2 days before the wedding! 

I feel like there is still so much to do! 

One of my brides maids is not able to make it including her children who were going

to be our ring bearer and flower girl. So luckily at the last minute 

we were able to get the Mr's cousin as the ring bearer and we are using Lilly 

(Our dog) as the flower girl! haha 

I made her an adorable tutu and some flowers to put on her harness.

Our wedding is not going to be very traditional haha

We also were able to use a different bridesmaid since the Mr. has 3 groomsmen 

and I was only going to have 2 bridesmaids.. I know it would have been ok, but 

the girl who we asked to step in is a great girl and has been 

with the Mr. and I since we started dating so I am 

very happy to have he involved!  

We have had some problems with the ceremony place because it is outside, and 

the owners have not mowed in a few weeks, but they say they will 

have it all mowed and cleaned up by Saturday!!

I'm just praying! 

I am also praying that the rain holds off until lets say 5pm haha

there is a 20% chance but in Oklahoma it could turn to 100 in

no time! 

I'm getting so excited though!! The wedding is so close! and all the out of town 

guests are getting in to town! :o) My mother in law and Father in law are

giving the Mr. and I a puppy for one of our wedding gifts!! 

Im so excited!! He is so cute! black and white Malti- huahua! 

He is so stinking cute!!! I get to pick him up from Texas and take him back to 

California in August!!! I can't wait!!

He's Here He's Here!!

The Mr. Got here yesterday!! :o) 

I am so excited!! 

I was so nervous in the airport! haha my hands were sweating, so bad and my 

stomach had crazy butterflies! It felt like it took FOREVER for his

plane to finally land! 

He got here yesterday, but I had to time to post.. 

I am just so happy to have him here 

and I can't believe our wedding is

almost 3 days away! 

The Mr. Made my family and I an amazing dinner tonight :o) 

I am going to apologize in advance, because I will probably not be updating 

much in the next week or so! With preparing for the wedding, 

and then the actual wedding, and the move to California,

and the Marine ball for his unit, we will be 

extremely busy for the next couple of weeks! 

I will post lots of wedding pictures As soon as I can though!! 

ahhhh I can't wait!! :o)

Your {Only} A day away!! 

Yay!! I get to Pick the Mr. up from the airport TOMORROW :) 

I am so so excited! It has almost been 3 months now

since the last day I saw him!

It's no 7 month deployment but I am still very excited to see him!! 

We have 6 days until the wedding! 

We still need to get the grooms cake ordered and get the songs together, 

and then a bunch of little stuff, 

and get all of Lilly and I's things together and packed!

My parents and I did a LOT of work around the house yesterday,

moving the camper and boat around,

mowing, 

moving things from the house to the garage, 

cleaning the house, 

shampooing the carpet, 

5 loads of laundry,

and much more! 

We did get to take a little break and go to this festival my town has called

summerfest! I am so glad we went!!

It was my last time to go for quite a while,

and it is one of my favorite parts of summer

So I am more than happy that we got to go! 

Well that is all for now! ONE more day until I pick up my love!! and 6 more

 days until the big wedding :) :)

Happy Post :)

Its about time to have a happy post! haha 

I was defiantly freaking out this morning about the dress 

but my amazing Nana Pulled through

 and got my dress fixed completely and it looks so amazing, 

beautiful, and exactly the way I visioned it! 

I couldn't be happier with the job she did, yet I still feel bad

 she paid so much for a professional to do it 

and then had to redo half. But I think deep down 

she was really happy because she got to personally help make my dress :o) 

The Mr. and I also got our wedding vows all figured out

 and I am so excited. 

We are not going traditional, 

and I'm excited for everyone to hear them! 

I get to pick the Mr. up from the airport in 3 days!!! yes 3 days!! ahhh!!! 

I am so excited

I absolutely can not wait!! 

And then In 8 days the Mr. and I will officially be Husband and Wife!!  :o) 

Today was also my brothers 24th birthday,

 so we went to dinner to celebrate! 

He is my best friend

 and I don't know what I would do without him!

Mayday Mayday!

Yes! This is how I feel today, and it is only 10am... 

Ok, so its not a life-threatening situation, but I am very frustrated/stressed..

MORE issues with the dress... I can't go into great detail just yet, 

because I don't want the Mr. to have any idea 

of what the dress looks like, But I did get to pick it up yesterday! 

I pretty much have a custom made dress, and there

 was a LOT of work put into it, 

but when I put it on yesterday the dress was too short! 

I have no idea how this happened, 

because My mom and I were actually a little worried it would be too long, 

and it ended up being at least an inch to 2 too short! 

The other frustrating part was that they wouldn't fix it!! They kept saying 

"Oh no it looks fine"

But to me it is way to short and I am not 

comfortable with it like that.. 

This isn't some prom dress, this is my wedding dress,

 the most important dress of a womans life! 

Either way they still wouldn't fix it so this morning

 my grandpa is working on fixing it.

And Now we realize we have to fix 

some more things that are not done right.. 

I feel bad because my grandpa paid for the alterations which were $150

 and now she is pretty much having to redo half of it!

And she only has until Sunday to do it because she wants to have it done

before the Mr. gets here so we can hide it! 

Dang my last few posts have been filled with griping! I'm sorry! 

Hopefully after the wedding and the move 

everything will be back to normal, 

and I wont seem like the bridezilla or what not! haha

Still no dress!

One week and 4 days out and I still do not have my wedding dress!! 

I'm a little stressed..... haha I have had a horrible experience 

with this bridal place and now i'm starting to regret sticking with them! 

I went and tried on dresses and fell in complete love with one
 and it was right in our price range,
So I was extremely excited!
Then one of the owners came up and told us the price

on the dress was wrong
 and it was actually $150 or so more than what the tag said.

(someone put the wrong tag on it)

He tried telling me we were going to have to pay the extra
and I argued with him for forever about how the mistake was not my mistake,
 and in customer service when 

a situation like this comes up
the customer is always right
 and you should man up for your store mistakes
and give it for what it is priced. 

Finally the other owner came up
 and agreed with me and was willing to give it to us
 for the price shown on the tag. 

Then I went in for my alterations
 and the same guy who argued with me was the one to do my alterations.
He was very nice at first
so I felt a little better but when he shoved the 

bra cups into the top of my dress
it defiantly made me feel a little awkward.
Then I was telling him what alterations I wanted
 and what I wanted to add and take 

away from my dress
and he argued with me,
saying it would look cheap and 

all kinda of crap..
 Finally after 2 hours of arguing with me
 he finally agreed to do it my way
and said it would look good. 

And now, here I am a little over a week away
 from Our wedding and still no dress.

I called them today and they said they are still working on it.
They told me 3 months ago it will be no later than the 1st.
 I told him that and he said 

" Oh, well if we told you the 1st then it will be done the 1st" 

I asked him if he realized that the 1st is tomorrow and all he said 

is "i'm sure it will probably be done" 

(not very reassuring but i'm praying it is done and done right!!)

14 days = 2 weeks!!

Only two weeks left until Our wedding!!!

Ok technically we only have 13 days now lol :o) 

And I finally get to see the Mr. in 8 days!! I can't wait to pick him up from the airport!! 

Tomorrow I am going to the lake with my parents, and my second family, The Rose family! I am so excited! 

It will defiantly be a bitter sweet deal though.. It will be a ton of fun and it has been a tradition for like ever! 

But It will also be the last time we are all together before the wedding and the big move.. 

The Rose family have gone above and beyond for my family, and we have for them as well. 

It is a husband, a wife, and a daughter my age. The husband had cancer back in 2000 

and we were there every step of the way, He and my dad are best friends and were partners for the same 

police force way back when lol 

He beat the cancer and then he and his family were such a great support system when I was diagnosed. 

They also took me in at a time in my life that I needed them the most! During college, I wasn't living 

in the best environment. A home with 4 other people and every single one of them did drugs 

except for me, on top of drinking, and parties, and fights going on in the house I just couldn't 

take it, so for the last month of my college year the Rose family took me in to their home and let me stay in their guest room. The treated me as if I was one of their own children and made me feel very welcomed

and helped me get through a very depressing stage in my life. 

I am so grateful  For the Rose family and So I will make the best of the time we all have together! 

On another not though, I got a TON of organizing done today with the whole packing process.

I went through all of my things and put them in piles of throw away, sell, keep and take,and keep and store. 

Hopefully we can fit all the keep and takes in my car! haha I am so unbelievably excited to see the

Mr. though!! He is my one true love and I am so thankful to have him in my life! 

He helps me get through so much and is so supportive! :o) 

Ahhh!!! Did I mention we only have 2 weeks and we will officially be Husband and Wife!?!? :D

That Cold Place in your Soul.

So...  this Post is going to be a complete rant, Fair warning! 

This after noon I was looking at flight prices to get
the Mr. home for the wedding since his leave just got approved,
and I found an awesome deal,
So then we waiting for his check to go through and 

then when it did I got online to book the flight
and in a matter of a couple of hours the ticket had gone up! 

It is still an awesome deal and all
 but I hate that the flight prices just change like that
in a matter of hours! 

It is so frustrating!! 

I also hate how some military wives pull the freaking rank card...
Seriously who cares if your husband is a lcpl or cpl or even sergeant???
 I don't get it? Is it seriously that big of a deal?
 and what about Marines compared to Reservist??
 I mean don't they still do kinda the same thing?
 I know some still deploy...
 Idk I know I'm still new to all this
 and maybe it is a big deal but I just don't get it!?! 

Do all Military wives belittle other wives
simply because their husband has like one rank over them?? 

WOW.. Ok I think i'm done with this Rant and I really hope I do not offend any one, and I'm not really a hateful person, but tonight I just had to vent! 

17 days and Counting!

Wow!! I can't believe the Mr. and I will be getting married in 17 days! Looking back at my calender I see where we started the count down at 82 days because that was the last day I saw him, and now we are down to 17!

Its so unbelievable! At the time I though it would go by so slow, and now i'm just thinking dang where did 

those 65 days go? 

I am so excited to finally be with my love for good and to be in the same state, house, and bed with him, but I am also extremely close to my family. So leaving them will be a little sad. I have just been trying to make the 

best of the time that I have with them all! 

I still have SO many little details for the wedding along with picking my wedding dress up!! Yes I know, I still don't have it and it is very frustrating! I had a lot of alterations done to it but geeze its been almost 3 months! 

They are saying I can come pick it up on the 1st, which is 10 days before the wedding! I am just hoping 

they have all the alterations done right!! 

I also have so much packing to do for the big move! I don't even know where to begin but I am a HUGE procrastinator when it comes to packing. :/  I wish I could just snap my fingers and have everything packed.

Although it is mainly just clothes, makeup, shoes, and items like that since our house in California is already

completely furnished. I still have to figure out exactly what I want to take and what I want to leave for 

storage though. 

Dang and I only have 17 days!! haha

But, I absolutely can not wait to see my soon to be hubby in 14 days!! :)

Safe and some what sound!

Thank goodness the storm passed over my home town with just hail, strong winds, a little rotation but nothing 

touched the ground, and a LOT of rain. Some surrounding towns weren't so lucky though :(

Praying for those people who have lost their homes and their loved ones in the past couple of days!! 

Hopefully all these storms will stop and go away so we can finally truly be safe and sound!

If you are religious please pray for the families in Joplin Missouri, They were hit by a huge devastating tornado 

on Sunday, and more storms are headed that way. 

Please pray as well for My home town and surrounding towns 

There is a possible F5 tornado that may hit 2 hours from me around 5pm and will be headed this way 

around 6 pm tonight! 

Local Meteorologist posted on facebook:

  " Still looking at model data, OMG. Pray hard, pray now. I can't stress this enough. We are in trouble folks. OKC=F5 bullseye!" 

"Be safe everyone, today will go down in history and not in a good way."

With you is where I'd rather be!

It is 4:05am and yet I am still awake, because here lately it has just been harder and harder to sleep without the Mr. here with me. Don't get me wrong I am so very thankful his is not deployed right now,

but the time away from him is still hard and the distance is still far. 

I completely dread the point when his second deployment comes around, but I know it will be coming, and that is why I am so ready to have [real] time with my soon to be hubby, in person where I can feel

his touch, and smell his cologne, and hear his heart beat as we drift to sleep. Not just hearing

his voice or even seeing his face through a small computer screen with a 

crappy connection. But real time with a physical connection. 

I want to have those times so I can cherish them and remember them for the time that he is gone for a deployment. June 8th just can't get here soon enough!! That will be the first time seeing him in 

3 months, which I know compared to a deployment that is NO time at all, but the 

excitement of our wedding on June 11th is just making the wait drag even 

longer!! 

Well, I guess I will try to go to sleep once again! :o) goodnight world!

At the moment the Mr. and I do not have any children, but we do have a fur baby! 

Her name Is Lilly, She is a purebred Chihuahua, 

She turned 3 years old on March 23rd. 

and she weighs about 6 lbs right now but shes kinda fat :o)  

We do plan to have children in the near future but for now we just have a family of 3 ;)

Just starting!

I had another blog called His rainbow princess, Her prince in camouflage, But I was not keeping up with it very well so I decided to start over! :) Hopefully I can keep up with this one a little better.

I am not "officially" a Marine wife yet, but I will be in 19 days!! We are getting married on June 11th. I am Sooo excited, I'm just ready for the day to be here and to be with my love! I am also nervous at the same time because I will be leaving my family, my school, and everything I know; to go to a place that I know nothing about, and only know like 2 people besides my S.O. so it will be a completely new life for me!

I want to have this blog to just share my experience as a brand new Marine wife, and trust me it has been an experience in itself already and I don't even have the wife title yet.

I hope every one enjoys and please leave comments if you would like!!! I would love any advice, and I love meeting new people so I am always open to talk about whatever!
